I came to this hotel in 2005 which was a lovely hotel at the time. However, since then 2005, the hotel rooms have vastly improved and the hotel in general have improved too boosting a gym and two pools inside and outside. I am staying at the hotel for 28 days (12th Sept - 11th October 2016) So I am writing my review with just less than 2 weeks to go. The staff are friendly, professional and want to make your stay as easy as they can. The rooms are of good size, bathroom is clean, and the facilities are ok for your everyday needs. However there are no iron/ironing board in the room but available on request. Breakfast in the morning have a good choice overall and there is an egg chef which is really good as you know your eggs are freshly prepared, not all hotels provide this. The laundry service is quick and reasonably priced too. If you like to eat at the hotel in the evening they provide a buffet style dishes or you eat from their menu, which is slightly more than outside, but your paying for the convenience of the location, the food is of good quality and service is good too. We had a window view, but I feel all rooms at this hotel offers a window view, the hotel location is very near central Kota Kinabula, and provides free parking.
This hotel operates a Green policy on food, so when ordering food now, you are expected to eat all your food, or they will charge you for wastage. This is the only negative I can think of, as I understand the policy, it is also unfair to be expected to eat all your food if you had enough.
I would recommend this hotel to families, couples, and business people too. They also do weddings here. Enjoying my stay here, and I am sure the next 2 weeks will not change my opinion of this hotel
Stayed September 2016, travelled as a couple
